Bio
José Andrade is a Fort Worth native who grew up in the Polytechnic Heights pyramid, having graduated from Polytechnic High School in 2015 and Texas Wesleyan University in 2021. Jose is a long-time member of the guitar studio family and the last student to receive a Bachelor's of Music in Guitar performance and pedagogy under the direction and guidance of his late mentor and beloved professor, Michael Dailey.
José’s passion for the guitar began in his early teens, when he first picked up the electric guitar at age 14, intending to play in metal and hard rock bands. Over the years, his ambition and deep love for guitar music have made him knowledgeable in many styles, including his favorite genres: Regional Mexican, Blues, Grunge Rock, Metal, and Classical.
As a freelance musician, José has performed with various mariachi groups and as a solo guitarist. Jose has played in many of the wonderful venues in Fort Worth, including the City Club of Fort Worth and Bass Performance Hall.
In the Fall of 2025, Jose will begin his M.M. In Guitar performance studies at the University of North Texas, where he will study under the direction and guidance of the prestigious Guitarist & Professor, Bokyung Byun.
